1. Scope and eligibility
Coinsider is an 18+ service for identifying and managing numismatic objects. These terms govern the web and iOS service. Mandatory consumer rights in the user’s country are not limited. The iOS v1 offer is Premium Yearly and PRO Yearly; hidden legacy plans are not offered for new App Store purchases.
2. Account, security and contract formation
The contract is formed when the user accepts these Terms and creates an account or starts using an account-based feature. The user must provide accurate information, protect credentials and promptly report suspected compromise. One person may hold one account unless Coinsider agrees otherwise in writing. We record the accepted version, language, text hash and time.
3. AI results and Coinsider Verified
AI identification is probabilistic and informational; it is not a physical authenticity certificate, ownership or provenance confirmation, grading opinion, investment advice or guaranteed market valuation. “Coinsider Verified” means that a record passed the original Coinsider AI identification workflow and that the serial, QR target, issue time and recorded output can be matched for integrity. It does not mean that a human expert physically examined the object. Every user can ask for a human review of an AI result: the photo quality check, the preview, the Premium identification and the PRO analysis. We reply within 7 days; a corrected result is shown on the coin card.
4. Definitions
Subscription – paid access to the Coinsider application in the Premium or PRO plan; this access is renewed. The subscription covers a higher coin limit for the collection, a limit of certified scans in a given period, longer keeping of deleted coins in the Trash and a pack of Coinsider Coins granted once at the start of the period.
Free plan – free access to the application without a subscription, for an indefinite period. It covers a collection of up to 50 coins, Coinsider Snap and 5 certified scans in Coinsider Vision, granted once.
Coinsider Coins – settlement units in the application, exchanged only for the indicated AI services. They are not money, electronic money or a payment instrument.
Coinsider Snap – adding a coin to the collection by hand, without AI analysis. Photos are stored only on the user’s device.
Coinsider Vision (certified scan) – taking photos in the application with quality control. It is a condition for AI identification, a report and publication.
Trash – the place where a coin deleted by the user waits 30 days in the Free plan and 90 days in a paid plan before it is deleted for good. Until then it can be restored.
5. Scope of the subscription and ongoing value
The subscription provides continuous access to the features listed on the purchase screen for the whole paid period, whether or not the user uses AI services. AI services (Premium identification, PRO analysis, numismatic description) are additional services settled in Coinsider Coins. Limits (the number of certified scans in a period, the maximum number of coins in the collection) are stated before purchase and in the account settings.
The maximum number of coins in the collection is 1000 in the Premium plan and 5000 in the PRO plan. The coins added in Coinsider Snap and in Coinsider Vision are counted together towards the limit.
The Encyclopedia and archive are public and require neither an account nor a subscription. Certificate verification by QR code or serial number remains public and does not require an account.
Before the purchase we show the price, the period, automatic renewal and the way to cancel. Payment, invoicing, cancellation of renewal and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store rules. Cancelling renewal does not shorten the paid period.
6. Free plan
An account without an active subscription uses the Free plan. The Free plan is free of charge, does not expire and does not turn into a subscription automatically. An unused Free plan account may be deleted under the rules in the section “End of the subscription and account deletion”. The Free plan covers a collection of up to 50 coins, to which coins added in Coinsider Snap and in Coinsider Vision count together, and 5 certified scans with a photo quality check and a preview of the result, granted once.
Premium identification, the PRO analysis and the use of Coinsider Coins require an active paid plan. We show the limits of the Free plan in the application and in the account settings.
7. Coinsider Coins
Purchased Coinsider Coins do not expire. Coinsider Coins granted with a subscription are added at the start of each billing period and do not expire either. One AI service costs the number of Coinsider Coins stated before it is ordered.
If an AI service is not performed for technical reasons attributable to Coinsider or our providers, the Coinsider Coins return to the balance automatically, without a request from the user. This does not apply where the service was performed and the result is uncertain or does not meet the user’s expectation. Such cases may be submitted for human review (complaint).
Coinsider Coins cannot be exchanged for money or moved to another account, subject to mandatory law and refunds handled by Apple. Using them requires an active paid plan. We explain this before a pack purchase; holding a balance alone does not provide access to AI services.
8. Coinsider Snap and Coinsider Vision
Coinsider Snap is used to keep a private catalogue of a collection. Descriptive data are entered by the user; Coinsider does not verify them. Photos added in Coinsider Snap are saved only in the storage of the device on which they were added and are not sent to Coinsider or to AI providers. On the servers we store only the descriptive data of the coin and technical data that make it possible to recognise a photo (for example a cryptographic hash, size).
It is a feature of the Coinsider Snap service that Coinsider does not create a backup of the photos. Without a backup, photos may be lost if the application is deleted or if the device is lost or replaced. The application provides a free Iron Vault file with the whole collection, which makes it possible to move the photos to another device, and reminds the user to save it. This provision does not limit Coinsider’s liability for defects of the application, including errors that cause data to be deleted.
AI identification, reports, certificates and publication in the archive are available in Coinsider Vision under that service’s rules. You may replace a Coinsider Snap card with a new Coinsider Vision card. This requires an active paid plan, Coinsider Coins, fresh photos and separate consent to delete the old card, its photos and manually entered information. The fresh photos go through quality checks and Premium identification; additional PRO analysis is optional under the plan and charging rules. Old Snap photos and manually entered information are not sent for AI analysis. They are deleted only after successful identification; the old card remains available until then. Other devices delete local photos on their next synchronisation.
Private collector card. The collection owner entered the information; Coinsider has not checked it. This document is neither a certificate nor a valuation.
9. End of the subscription and account deletion
When a subscription ends, the account moves to the Free plan. The collection stays on the account: it can be viewed and edited, and new coins can be added up to the limit of the Free plan. The coins above that limit are not deleted; the limit applies only to adding new coins.
Coinsider Coins and purchased scans stay on the account without an end date. They can be used after a paid plan is resumed.
The end of a subscription does not delete the account. We delete an account at the user’s request, at once or with a recovery period of 30 days, or 3 months for an account in the PRO plan. We may delete a Free plan account because of inactivity if nobody has signed in to it for 3 months. At least 30 days in advance, we send an e-mail with the deletion date to the account’s e-mail address; signing in before that date keeps the account, and until then the user can save the Iron Vault file. We do not delete in this way an account with unused Coinsider Coins or purchased scans, or an account with an open request or complaint. After an account is deleted, its public records are withdrawn from the archive, and deleted once the data are finally erased; verification of the serial number then states that the record has been withdrawn or that it does not exist.
Coinsider Snap photos exist only on the user’s devices. When an account is deleted immediately, the application deletes them at once from the device on which the account was deleted. When an account is deleted with a recovery period, the photos stay until that period ends, unless the user chooses to delete them at once from the device on which the account is being deleted. After the account is permanently deleted, the application in a version that includes this mechanism deletes the photos, together with the copies of Coinsider Vision photos of that account kept in it, from every device on which the account was used with it. It does so only after the server confirms the deletion, at the first start with an internet connection. Devices that do not connect to the internet and older versions of the application do not delete the photos; they stay in the application storage until the user deletes them in the application settings or uninstalls the application. Iron Vault files, Coinsider Snap backups and collector card PDFs saved by the user remain under the user’s sole control; the application does not delete them.
The user can save the Iron Vault file in the application on every plan, also after the subscription ends. Each later save adds parts with new and changed coins, secured in the same way as the first parts; a full restore needs all parts and the latest index file. The file can be restored on the account from which it was saved. On a new account, the file can be restored only if both accounts have a subscription bought or restored with the same Apple ID and the file was saved with an internet connection. A file of another person is refused. Restored coins count towards the collection limit of the plan. A coin that was in the Trash when the file was saved, or was deleted from the account earlier, returns only if the user chooses this when restoring. Coinsider Vision coins return only if their data and identification results match the Coinsider signature stored in the file; they return without a public record in the archive, and a new record requires a new scan.
Account deletion10. Changes to the service and the terms
We may change features or limits of the service for valid reasons: changes in the law, security requirements, changes on the providers’ side, prevention of abuse or development of the service, at no additional cost to the user. We give notice of a change at least 30 days in advance. A change that limits access to or the usefulness of the service takes effect from the next billing period. If it affects a period in progress, the user may terminate the contract within 30 days of receiving the notice or of the change being made, with a proportionate refund for the unused period, provided through Apple or directly by Coinsider.
Subscriptions purchased before this version of the Terms enters into force keep, until the end of the paid period, the terms and limits they have had so far. We apply the new terms and limits from the next renewal. We give notice of them at least 30 days in advance.
11. Application licence and intellectual property
Coinsider grants a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the service under these Terms. The application is licensed, not sold. The iOS version is additionally governed by Apple’s Standard EULA unless a valid Custom EULA is published in App Store Connect. Coinsider code, design, marks, editorial text and first-party materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.
Apple Standard EULA12. Purchases, scan packs and refunds
Available plans, the billing period, automatic renewal, benefits, limits and the complete local price including tax are shown immediately before the order is placed. StoreKit data and the Apple confirmation are the binding source of the price and period of the specific transaction. The rules for Coinsider Coins are set out in the section “Coinsider Coins”. Scan packs are units usable only within Coinsider. They are not money or a transferable asset and cannot be moved between accounts. Purchased scans do not expire. Deleting a consumed result does not restore units. The user manages the subscription in Apple ID; deleting the application or the account does not cancel the subscription. App Store payment refund requests are technically handled by Apple, without limiting the user’s statutory rights.
Each subscription is personal and may fund only one active Coinsider account. The user may use the same account on their Apple devices and on the web. The plan, limits, Coinsider Coins, scans, collections and Iron Vault are assigned to that account and synchronised, not copied to other accounts. Coinsider Snap photos are the exception: they stay only on the device on which they were added. Restoring the collection from an Iron Vault file, also on a new account, is described in the section “End of the subscription and account deletion”. Family Sharing is not supported. Login credentials must not be shared with other persons.
13. Withdrawal from the contract and consumer rights
Subscription: a consumer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it. If the consumer wants performance to begin before that period ends, the consumer makes a separate, express request on the purchase screen. The checkbox is not ticked by default and we record the request. If the consumer withdraws after performance has begun, the refund is proportionate. A refund of a payment made in the App Store is handled by Apple.
Packs of Coinsider Coins and scan packs are digital content that we do not supply on a tangible medium. The right of withdrawal expires only when all three conditions are met: (1) the user expressly agreed to performance beginning before the withdrawal period ends, (2) the user acknowledged that they lose the right of withdrawal, (3) the user received confirmation on a durable medium, that is, an e-mail message sent after the purchase. If any of these conditions is missing, the right of withdrawal is preserved.
The Free plan is free of charge, so withdrawal from the contract does not apply to it. The user may delete the account at any time.
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights concerning conformity of the service, bringing the service into conformity, price reduction, termination of the contract or refund.
14. Reports and support
A completed Premium or PRO identification may have one stable private report or, after opt-in, one stable public record. The same document can be downloaded again without an export cap; a later PRO result updates that record in place rather than creating a second identity. Support intake is available 24/7 and the human team monitors requests throughout all days of the week at varying hours; this does not promise an immediate response. Direct support is available to active Premium and PRO users. A human review of an AI result is available to every user, whatever the plan.
15. Content rights and model development
Users keep ownership of their uploads. By uploading content, they grant Coinsider a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and limited licence only to store, secure, resize, remove technical metadata, analyse and generate the requested service output and, after a separate per-coin publication choice, display that public record. The licence ends when the content is deleted or unpublished, subject only to necessary backups, legal duties and claims. Users confirm that they have the necessary rights and do not infringe another person’s privacy or intellectual property. Publishing a certificate does not authorise model training. Coinsider does not place private or public uploads in a model-training export without a separate, specific opt-in. No such opt-in is offered in iOS v1. Copyright or unlawful-content notices may be sent to coinssupportpl@wp.pl.
16. Acceptable use and liability
One account per person is permitted. Bots, bulk scraping, attempts to evade allowances, attacks, unlawful content and use of Coinsider output to train a competing model are prohibited. We may proportionately restrict abusive accounts, preserve evidence and offer an appeal route. Users remain responsible for lawful uploads and for independently verifying important commercial decisions. Nothing excludes liability or statutory remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Polish law governs only to the extent it does not remove mandatory protections of the user’s habitual residence.
17. Availability, service changes and conformity
The service requires a compatible device and internet connection. We may deliver security updates, repairs and changes needed to maintain conformity. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, but retain all non-excludable responsibility for supply and conformity of the digital service. Material changes to a continuously supplied feature will be notified in advance where required by law.
18. Third-party services
Base44 provides the platform, Google Cloud/Gemini performs AI functions, and Apple handles distribution, StoreKit, refunds and applicable sign-in. Third-party terms apply to their independent services. Coinsider remains responsible for vendor selection to the extent required by law and does not shift liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Access restrictions and termination
The user may stop using the service and delete the account. We may proportionately restrict a feature or account for breaches of law, these Terms, security or another person’s rights. Unless there is an urgent threat, we provide the reason and an appeal route. Termination does not erase obligations or claims that survive under law.
20. Complaints, disputes and governing law
Complaints may be sent to coinssupportpl@wp.pl. Include a problem description and relevant transaction or record identifier, but never a password. We respond within the period required by law. Polish law applies without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections or competent courts at the consumer’s habitual residence.
21. Changes and final provisions
Material changes receive clear notice and, where they change the contract or basis of use, renewed acceptance. Silence does not replace consent required by law. If one provision is invalid, the rest remains effective. Coinsider may transfer the contract only while preserving user rights; the user may not transfer an account without permission.
22. Languages, storefronts and local law
Translations improve accessibility; choosing a language does not determine the user’s jurisdiction or represent active targeting of every country using that language. Mainland China is excluded from the iOS v1 storefronts. Where the service is available, non-waivable local privacy, consumer, auto-renewal, tax, sanctions and content rules prevail. EEA, UK, California, Brazil and other locally applicable rights are assessed by residence and statutory thresholds, not interface language. Russian-language availability does not by itself represent active targeting of a restricted market. Coinsider must disable a storefront or feature when required safeguards, localisation, payment or legal serviceability cannot be documented.
23. Reporting public content
Anyone may report an issue with Encyclopedia or public coin archive content to coinssupportpl@wp.pl free of charge, without an account, subscription or AI permission. Guests and users without an active subscription use email. Users with Premium/PRO ticket access may also use in-app support. Reporting a violation is not a paid numismatic consultation. The Public Content Rules describe review and appeal procedures.
